IncentiveDirect newsfeed. January 2009.

IncentiveDirect creates innovative online reward and recognition systems.
We believe that rewards are the currency of inspiration.

I t's 2009, and we're off to a flying start, with new clients, new products, and new features for iD-points. While there is doom and gloom for many retailers and businesses, we believe that companies that differentiate themselves and do more with less will prosper during and after the recession. A incentive system is the recession-busting way to grow sales and boost performance, so we're bullish about our prospects over the coming months.

If you have any questions about IncentiveDirect or iD-points, then please contact Martin Gittins by e-mail at martin.gittins@incentivedirect.com

/01. iD-points migration continues.

Migrating birds

We continue to migrate clients across from version 4 of iD-points to the new version 5.

It's a slow process, as in many cases a client has been running multiple accounts to handle different countries, or different groups of users, eg internal sales teams versus independent dealers. In the new system, all of these can be run from a single supervisor log-in, using tools such as the groups and divisions tool to help organise and manage users.

/02. Updated iD-points home page.

iD-points home page animation

We've given the home page for iD-points a little touch of Flash.

/03. Latest blog entries.

Voucher dinosaur

We publish our views on motivation and the incentive industry on the IncentiveDirect blog.

Recent entries:

Vouchers: now even more tired and expired.
"Increasingly, it looks like gift card sales are being used to prop up failing retail chains, as a means of generating revenue or cashflow without incurring costs."

New Year's Revolutions.
"We believe that companies should regularly tweak the parameters of their incentive - running short tactical campaigns, adjusting the reward criteria etc. - and then monitor and evaluate the results. Reporting and analysis is the missing ingredient of many incentive programmes, but vital in creating a feedback loop to find out what drives performance best."

/04. New products.

We're adding new products all the time to the iD-points store.
