/01. Satisfy wants, not needs.
One of the main differences between an incentive system like iD-points, and handing out ad-hoc cash rewards, is that cash satisfies needs, not desires.
Giving cash doesn't allow a user to connect their actions to their prize, their performance to a product. If added to a persons pay packet, they often won't see it at all - it just gets absorbed into the black hole of household bills.
With iD-points, users have no choice but to spend their points on great gifts. It doesn't come with the buyers remorse that cash gifts can induce. Instead, each time they use that camcorder, or put on that watch, or see their partner wearing that piece of jewellery, they will remember what they did to get that reward.
Cash might be what your staff would say they prefer. But what is best for you? Something that gets quietly slipped into someone's pocket, or something that has genuine trophy value, as a totem of their performance?

/04. Latest products in iD-points store.
We've added some great new products for the summer holidays. Woooh!
Sony AIR-SA20PK Wireless Docking Station
A great product from Sony that allows you to stream CD-quality audio from the iPod (or other portable media player, or other external source) to up to 10 remote receiver/speaker stations. It comes with 2, so you can add up to 8 more - just plug and play. You can even stream different signals to different receiver stations, allowing you to control music around the house from one central location, and create zones which define which receivers get sent which signal. Very clever.
Sony MDR-NC7 Noise Cancelling Headphones
Those clever Sony fellows have released possibly the best value noise-cancelling headphones yet, that can block out over 87% of all ambient and background noise, making it easier to concentrate and listen to the sound you want to. With comfortable ear pads and a flat headband these are comfortable set of cans, great for home/ office use, or for use while commuting or travelling. They fold flat for compact storage and are supplied with a carrying pouch.
Alexander Rose Ocean Wave Sunlounger
We've added a wide range of Alexander Rose garden furniture. It's top-notch quality gear that would bring style and grace to any outdoor space. The wave sunlounger features a powder coated frame with a coaxial fibre woven around, in a striking wave pattern. There is also a version with a hood, if you need a bit of shelter.
Taylormade R9 Driver
Hit the darn ball harder and further with the Taylormade R9 driver. It's a club that features both TaylorMade Flight Control Technology (FCT) and Movable Weight Technology (MWT®) .FCT lets you change the face angle, loft and lie, while MWT lets you change the clubhead's center of gravity.
Together this gives you unprecedented control over the ball direction and flight, helping to correct that horrendous slice you've picked up, or if you're still hooking it.
